The electric version of the FN M249 MKII machine gun features a solid construction. Parts such as the body, grip guide, ammunition belt feeder, box latch, barrel release, transport handle, bipod, trigger guard, and all screws and pins are carefully made from steel. The top cover, barrel, bipod mount, gas block, and flash hider are made from the highest-quality metal, while the stock, pistol grip, barrel shroud, front grip, trigger block, and stock are made from synthetic materials. The MKII features a folding bipod integrated with the grip cover, allowing users to set up and shoot from a fixed position. The gearbox features a convenient quick spring change system. The gearbox is fitted with a complete set of reinforced 18:1 gears on 8mm ball bearings, ensuring smooth operation and delivering 20 rounds per second. The replica's compression and seal system is achieved with a CNC-formed aluminium piston and cylinder head, equipped with a double-sealed cylinder head with a thick Sorbothane pad and a ball-bearing piston head.
